Qrindo
A URL shortener and dynamic QR redirect service with a real-time analytics dashboard.
The idea
Printed once
Routed live
The printed code stays exactly as it was printed. Where it sends people is a setting, and the setting can change after the poster is on the wall.
Print it once. Point it anywhere.
Qrindo is a dynamic QR and short link platform. Folowise designed it, engineered it, and runs it in production at qrindo.com.
What we built
- The product
- Dynamic QR codes, smart links, sites and units, batch creation, print sheets, claim batches, leads, and scan analytics by city, device and hour.
- The platform
- Every action in the dashboard is a documented REST endpoint: OpenAPI 3.1, signed webhooks, a TypeScript SDK, and an MCP server so an agent can run a campaign without opening the app.
- The pipeline
- Scan events stream through NATS into TimescaleDB, so a code scanned on a poster reaches the workspace on its own.
The workspace
Every code the business owns, on one screen.
Title, destination, scan count and status in one table. The row above it is the entire printed campaign: export, bulk import, sites, batch create, print sheet.
Sites and units
Twenty table codes before the printer is even open.
Pick a type, say how many units, name them with one pattern, and every unit gets its own code. The codes can point at a holding page first, so the sheet goes to print before the destinations exist.
The code itself
It can carry the brand and still scan.
Foreground, background and corner eyes set separately, three module shapes, a logo in the middle, and a frame if the code needs to ask. The editor watches the contrast and says when a design is still safe.
Smart links
One link that knows which phone opened it.
iPhone goes to the App Store or straight into the app, Android goes to Play, everything else lands on the fallback page. The QR preview updates while the form is still being filled.
Two languages
The whole app mirrors, not only the words.
English and Arabic across every screen, form and table, with the layout flipped for right to left rather than translated in place.
